Round Face Shape
Three numbers decide this one. Type your ratios in and the page tells you whether they sit on the round row, using the published targets and the tolerances the detector itself applies. Nothing measured yet? The detector reads the four distances off a photo and scores all seven rows in one pass.
The three placeholders are the round targets. A ratio may sit 0.30 away from the length target, or 0.12 away from either width target, and still count as a match.

What the numbers mean here
Forehead width (temple to temple), cheekbone width (widest point), jaw width (corner to corner) and face length (hairline to chin) are the four distances. Face length counts as 100 by definition, so the rest arrive as percentages of it — proportions within one photo rather than millimetres. The landmark indices behind each distance are in face-shape-measurements.csv.
The round row is short and even: 1.18 of length for each cheekbone width, with 0.90 at the forehead and 0.86 at the jaw. Neither width is pinched in far enough to create a corner.
Measuring it with a tape
Tape flat against the skin, standing square to a mirror, arm's length away. Write the numbers, not the adjectives. What it costs to use this page
No charge, no account, no upgrade tier, no daily limit or cap on how many photos and measurements you run through the site — there is no counter anywhere in it. Nothing on this page waits behind a paid tier, and no sign-in is asked for before you can read a number that is already published.
Where the photo and the typed numbers stay
A page of JavaScript plus one model file. The model arrives once with the page and the measuring then happens inside your browser tab, so the photo is never uploaded anywhere and no server of ours receives it. The comparison box above is the same: the ratios you type are compared inside the page and sent nowhere.

Four rows, all taken from the same published file. Count the length column of that file and one row stands at the bottom: 1.18 is the lowest face-length ratio of the seven. That is what makes a round face read as round — the width is not extreme anywhere, the height is simply the shortest on the list.
Round face shape questions
Is a round face shape just a short oval?
By these numbers, no. Oval runs to 1.45 of length and pulls its jaw in to 0.76; round stays at 1.18 with the jaw at 0.86. The jaw is where the two rows separate most.
What separates a round face shape from a square one?
The width ratios. Round sits at 0.90 and 0.86 against the cheekbones; square holds 0.97 and 0.95, so its corners stay wide while round's pull in.
Can a round face shape still have a visible jawline?
The file puts the round jaw at 0.86 of the cheekbone width, which is not a pinched jaw — compare heart at 0.70. It is a soft corner rather than a missing one.
