Hairstyles for a Diamond Face Shape

What hair questions hang on these three ratios
This row is geometry, not a style guide. Every hair question below is a question about one of the three ratios, and the ratio is named each time. This is this data set's own reading of its own numbers — not a standard from anywhere else.
- Which part of the face is widest? The cheekbones: both width ratios sit under 1.00 here — forehead 0.74, jaw 0.72 — so on this row the cheekbone ratio is the widest of the three.
- A bangs or fringe question. It hangs on the forehead ratio, 0.74. That is the ratio a fringe sits against, and it is the number to look at first.
- A length question — long hair or short. It hangs on the length ratio, 1.50, which is how much longer the face reads than the cheekbone width.
- A jaw-corner question, or anything about the lower third. It hangs on the jaw ratio, 0.72.
- A "best hair for a diamond face" question. That phrasing hides all three. Ask which of 1.50, 0.74 or 0.72 the answer is supposed to move, and you have turned a style question into something this file can answer.
No cut names and no styling steps appear on this page. The file holds ratios, not instructions, and this page does not invent what is missing.

Four rows, same file. Counting the two width columns of that file turns up one row on its own: diamond is the only one of the seven where both width ratios sit below 0.75 — 0.74 above and 0.72 below. Every other row keeps at least one of the two at 0.76 or higher. Whichever hair question you arrive with, that is the geometry behind it.

Does this page tell me whether bangs suit me?
No. It tells you which ratio a bangs question hangs on — the forehead one, 0.74 on this row — and where your own number sits against it. Rating a style is not something this file can do.
Why are there no haircut names here?
Because the published file contains ratios and tolerances, not styling steps. Naming cuts would mean adding content the data does not hold, so it is left out.
Which ratio should I look at first on a diamond face shape?
The two width ratios, 0.74 and 0.72. They are the narrow ends of this row, and they are why so many hair questions about it are really questions about width.
