What each hair question hangs on
Nothing below is a style guide. Each question is a question about one of the three ratios, and the ratio is named. It is this data set's reading of its own numbers, not a universal standard.
- Where is the width on this row? Nowhere extreme: 0.90 at the forehead and 0.86 at the jaw, both close to the cheekbones.
- A bangs or fringe question. It hangs on the forehead ratio, 0.90.
- A length question — long hair or short. It hangs on the length ratio, 1.18, the lowest in the file.
- A jaw or lower-third question. It hangs on the jaw ratio, 0.86.
- A "hairstyles for a round face" question. That phrasing hides all three. Name the number you want moved — 1.18, 0.90 or 0.86.
No cut names, no styling steps and no claims about how a style will look. The file holds ratios, not instructions, and this page does not invent the difference.

A round face keeps a jaw that is not strongly narrowed, which is what the lower-third hair questions here come down to.

Is a round face shape's hair question the same as a diamond's?
No. Round keeps both widths near 0.9; diamond pinches them to 0.74 and 0.72. The bangs question alone moves by 0.16 between the two rows.
Why is the length ratio the one to watch on this row?
At 1.18 it is the lowest of the seven, so a length question on a round face is a question about the shortest row in the file.
Can I get a haircut suggestion from this page?
