Diamond Face Shape
Start with the box. Put in the three ratios you measured and it tells you whether they land inside the diamond row — the same targets and the same tolerances the detector uses when it reads a photo. No measurements yet? The detector takes a photo, works out the four distances and scores all seven profiles at once.
Those three placeholders are the diamond targets. A ratio still counts as a match if it sits within 0.30 of the length target, or within 0.12 of either width target.

Same five numbers, same origin: the row Diamond in face-shape-ratios.csv, which sits on the data page under CC BY 4.0 and is archived with a DOI. It is not a standard borrowed from somewhere else — it is the profile this site compares against, published so that you can download it and disagree with it.
What makes the diamond row what it is
Four distances come off the face — forehead width at the temples, cheekbone width at the widest point, jaw width from corner to corner, and face length from the top of the forehead to the bottom of the chin. Face length is fixed at 100, so the other three arrive as percentages of it: proportions inside one photo, never millimetres or inches. The landmark indices behind each distance are listed in the companion file, face-shape-measurements.csv.
The diamond signature is in the two width ratios: 0.74 at the forehead and 0.72 at the jaw, both well under the cheekbone width, while the length ratio runs to 1.50.
Doing it with a tape instead of a photo
Soft tape held flat against the skin, standing square to a mirror at arm's length. Numbers go in the sheet, adjectives do not. The price of using this page
Nothing. No charge, no account, no upgrade tier, and no daily limit or cap on how many photos or measurements you put through it — the site keeps no counter. You are not asked for an email address to read a number that is already sitting in a file you can download.
Where the photo and the numbers end up
The detector is a page of JavaScript plus one model file. The model comes down once, then the measuring happens in your browser tab: your photo is never uploaded anywhere and no server of ours receives it. The box above behaves the same way — the three numbers you type are compared inside the page and are sent nowhere.
Telling a diamond face shape apart from its neighbours

All four rows are lifted from the same published file as the diamond row. One thing the file shows plainly: 0.74 is the lowest forehead ratio of the seven rows, which is why a diamond face shape is usually described as the one where the temples are the narrow part. Because the tolerance on the length ratio is generous, a face can sit close to two rows at once — the detector then takes the closer one.
Diamond face shape questions
Is a diamond face shape the same as a heart face shape?
No, and the file shows why in one column: heart puts the forehead at 1.00, level with the cheekbones, while diamond puts it at 0.74. The jaw is close to the same in both.
Can a diamond face shape have a wide forehead?
Then it is probably not the diamond row. This site's diamond target asks for a forehead ratio near 0.74, and the tolerance is only 0.12 — a forehead at 0.90 is a different row.
Can this page read a photo?
No. It only compares numbers you type in. The face shape detector is the page that measures a photo.
